I'd cry too if i hooked up with my sister...

After reading that Terrell Owens is near a deal with the Buffalo Bills, i had the following text exchange with a buddy of mine who is a life long Bills fan:

Me: Hahaha you got T.O. !

Bills Fan: WTF? really???

Me: Yup, apparently 1 year deal, don’t know the financials

Bills Fan: My dad is distraught

Me: I’d be too!! Poor Edwards

*Chuck Norris Presents The Drubbing Links of the Week 6

, Friday, March 6, 2009 at 4:43 PM Comments (0)

Chuck NorrisLeading us towards NCAA conference tournament bball play:

I’d say English soccer player Jermain Defoe is going to regret having so many friends that are girls.

If you are a Baltimore O’s fan, and happen to have a birthday during the baseball season you can get free tickets here.

This has nothing to do with Sports, but dear god this is hysterical.  Listen to the 911 calls.  It reminds me of the scene in SuperTroopers where Officer Favra wants a liter of Cola (NSFW language).

Your Weekly Chuck Norris Fact:

The Chief export of Chuck Norris is pain.

The WBC, or how MLB can screw up a good thing

, Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 11:15 PM Comments (0)

wbc_logoSo let me first say, I think the WBC is a wonderful idea. I think the intensity exhibited by some of the players during the inaugural event was spectacular, and if you are a baseball fan and missed any of the games that involved Puerto Rico, Panama, Dominican Republic, Cuba, or Venezuela, then you truly missed out. It was some of the hardest fought and most passionate baseball I have ever seen. Add the three Japan vs. Korea matchups, and you had some excellent spirited baseball.

Moreover, I am one of those people that could watch countries compete in anything. I am that guy that got wrapped up in U.S.A curling during the last Olympics. Heck, I even looked for the closest curling rink to me home. If you live on the tri-state area, the answer to that question can be found here . How could you not be excited by something called the Nutmeg Curling Club? But I digress.

How to make pricing your baseball card collection easier

, Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 1:06 PM Comments (0)

CardPricer home pageFor anyone like me that still has boxes and boxes and boxes of baseball, football, basketball and soccer trading cards in their parent’s attic, hoping that the mice will leave them alone, that the moisture level will stay low, and that these cards will count as their “retirement plan” there are some tools you can use to see if you’ll be eating Ramen Noodles when you’re 75, or if you’ll be kicking it in a swank pad in Naples, Florida.

Jay Cutler Still Sucks his Thumb

, Monday, March 2, 2009 at 2:14 PM Comments (0)

Yup, i am a goober.

Yup, i am a goober.

The NFL is a business.  It always has been a business and will always be a business as long as they have both Free Agency and a Salary Cap.  Teams will try to get the best value by underpaying so they can stay within the Salary Cap, and players will use their agents to get the maximum amount of guaranteed money.  Players are constantly ax’ed because of their hefty contracts, and players constantly hold out because they want a new contract (even if they already just signed a deal a year prior).  This is just how life is in the NFL.

The Big Shaqtus calls out Chris “Juwanna Mann” Bosh

, Monday, March 2, 2009 at 12:00 PM Comments (0)

Cowboy Chris BoshThe Big Shaqawokee has struck again. The Diesel has a long history of calling people out, and mixing it up in the press. But this one is a doozey.

After Shaq busted out a monster 45-point game against the Toronto Raptors, their star center, Chris Bosh claimed that O’Neal had been the benefactor of some officials playing loose with the rules and ignoring the three-second lane violations that Shaq should’ve picked up when he was camping out in the paint.

Shaq, not being one to take a hit lying down shot back with the following, “I heard what Chris Bosh said, and that’s strong words coming from the RuPaul of big men,” O’Neal said. “I’m going to do the same thing (in their next meeting) I did before — make him quit. Make ‘em quit and complain. It’s what I do.”

1,000 Coaching wins anyone?

, Sunday, March 1, 2009 at 11:27 PM Comments (3)

When I win my 1,000th game, I swear I will get rid of this ridiculous haircut

When I win my 1,000th game, I swear I will get rid of this ridiculous haircut

After Jim “Get some facts!” Calhoun got his 800th win, I started thinking about whether or not there were any men’s coaches out there that might be able to catch Pat Summit’s 1,000 wins and counting. There are literally hundreds of coaches out there, but we can narrow down the contenders into a few easy categories.

*Chuck Norris Presents The Drubbing Links of the Week 5

, Friday, February 27, 2009 at 8:00 AM Comments (0)

Chuck NorrisThis weeks links for the post NFL combine weekend:

Rich Eisen’s 40yd dash at the NFL combine was amusing to say the least.  I thoroughly enjoy the simulcast showing him against the other runners.

Nothing like teaching your child some of life’s most important rules about baseball.

Fernando Tatis is back in the news, no not for steroid use (which we all know he did) but for an odd injury, kudos to the Sports Hernia for coming up with a perfect headline.  I couldn’t have said it better.

This has nothing to do with sports, but this song and music video is completely hysterical.
