Give Scott Skiles a team, other than Milwaukee Bucks

Scott Skiles coachingWhen will John Hammond wake up and realize, Jerry Reinsdorf was right, I’ve got to can Scott Skiles? Skiles is single-handedly ruining the bucks. I know Mo Williams was a big loss, and no team with Malik Allen on the roster has ever been successful, but the Bucks have still got a decent team. Why does Scott Skiles insist on burying this team so early in the season? He’s managed to make an okay roster bad and I’m worried that if he continues down this path he’ll have turned the Milwaukee Bucks into the Tampa Bay Bucs we all remember, back when they were sporting the bright orange unies.

Cleveland Browns: A few things to think about before you fire Romeo Crennel

Smiling Romeo CrennelIs it really his fault? Can you really blame Romeo for not winning more games with this roster? I’m sure there are plenty of Browns fans out there that say, “I could win 4 games coaching that team.” But the truth is, there are only a few coaches in the league that actually could win 4 games [through week 15] with this Cleveland Browns roster. Jeff Fisher, Andy Ried, Tom Coughlin, and Bill Belichick. Yeah, Bill Belichick, remember him? We’ll come back to him later.

Basketball JesusThe top four appeared to be breaking away from the pack, but now it’s dwindled to the top 2. We are still Warrior-less, but now we have two new additions to the rankings. One could be a weekly contending to stay on the list if his game continues to develop. The other Could be a regular in the top-10 if he could stay healthy. If.

The Most Heavily Tattooed Team in the NBA

, Friday, December 12, 2008 at 8:44 PM Comments (2)

LeBron James "Chosen 1" tattooWhile watching a Denver Nuggets game last week I got to thinking, “Is there anyone on this team that doesn’t have sleeves?” There are a few, other than George Carl, but the list is a pretty short one. So after careful consideration, we’ve compiled a list of the Most Heavily Tattooed Teams in the NBA. We’ve ranked them from most to least, and cited the players with the most ink on each team. They key here is quantity of tattoos, not quality of the artwork (otherwise Steph’s head tattoo and all of Mike Bibby’s tats would automatically send them to the bottom of the list) nor quantity of players with tattoos, or the subject matter of their tattoos. We want lots of guys, with lots of tats. So here they are.

Wow what a week it was. We’ve got some big things shaking up in the Week 6 Larry Bird League, Basketball Jesus Rankings including a new leader. I’ll give you a hint. His name rhymes with Crane Maaaaaaaaaaaaade. And we’ve got some notable players missing from the list too. I’m sure you’ve got some guesses. That’s enough hype, I’ll let the rankings do most of the talking. See the full list after the jump.

Forbes Magazine still unclear on how basketball is played

Yesterday Forbes Magazine released their annual list of the NBA’s most valuable NBA franchises, and to the surprise of anyone that has ever played Dr. James Naismith‘s game of basketball, or follows the NBA, the New York Knickerbockers topped the list, again.

In the spirit of recapping this festive Thanksgiving week, filled with Turkey and NFL goodness, we’ll skip the stuffing and go right for the meat of the rankings. I’ll give you a hint. The King is still King, and at least one of the Warriors is losing the battle.

The Basketball Jesus Rankings: Week 4

The Golden State Warrior tandem that has been shocking the Larry Bird Fantasy Basketball world is holding on, but they’re fading fast too. It’s going to take a monumental effort for Stephen Jackson (11) and Andris Biedrins (13) to hold off the likes of Al Jefferson, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony and newcomer, Derrick Rose.

As the young season chugs along, all is becoming normal in the top-10 of The Basketball Jesus Rankings, but there are still a few statistical outliers sneaking their way into the top-15.

LeBron James continues to stake his claim to the top spot and is holding onto a stout 47-point lead. Perennial contenders Dwayne Wade, Dwight Howard, Amare Stoudemire, Carlos Boozer, Dirk Nowitzki, Chris Paul and Chris Bosh have claimed a spot in the top ten.
