Natinal Spelling Bee?
My Colleague, Nate commented on the article by Rick Reilly and the Arizona Diamondbacks and what they are doing that’s right with baseball. Well the Washington Nationals have gone in the other direction.
When the Nats are actually on TV, their stadium looks completely empty. A bad record, no fan base and now this. I know Elijah Dukes has had his run ins with the law and team issues, but come on. There are rules, and then there is intent. He was at a little league charity event, signing autographs for a dwindling fan base and happened to show up 5 minutes late.
As one of the only players who is pulling his weight on the field for the Nats and one of the few draws for this team, it is probably not in the best interst of the team to suspend him for reaching out to the fans. What is next, Lastings Milledge gets benched for being late after he saved an orphanage from burning down? Rules are rules aren’t they Manny Acta? Maybe Manny should start changing the culture by making smart decisions in the front office and not acting like such a hard ass. This is a team that needs an injection of life and a real game plan for the future, not Kenesaw Mountain Landis.
Right as i was supposed to post the article, i read that the Great Falls Little League is paying for the fine! Good for them. Not only is that area a hot bed of MILFS, and large houses, but they are basically giving the finger to the Nats. Bravo.
