The Basketball Jesus Rankings: Week 10

Basketball JesusFor the first edition of the Larry Bird Fantasy Basketball League, Basketball Jesus Rankings in the new year, 2009, we have… well… nothing new. We start the year off with a whole lot of everything we’ve seen before. LeBron, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh at the top. Kevin Durant hanging on at the bottom. And Joe Johnson just keepin on somewhere in the middle.

The big news would be that LBJ and D-Wade are only 37 points a part. They’ve been battling all year, but it’s getting really tight now. Thanks to the run Al Jefferson made last week, that landed him in the sixth spot, just behind Kobe, the top six spots are now separated by only 197 points.

The other notable appearance is that of Antawn Jamison. We haven’t seen him since, last year. He held the 14th spot when it was all said and done in 2007-2008, just as he does this week. But Antawn has failed to grace the Rankings with his presence thus far in the 2008-2009 campaign.

Believe it or not, Kevin Durant is not sitting in the bottom spot this week. He’s moved up to the 13th spot and Brandon Roy has slipped all the way down to 15th.
