What a difference a month makes. Back in Week 5 Amare Stoudemire was off to a good start to the season and sitting pretty collecting healthy point and rebound totals in every game, earning him the fifth spot in our rankings. Then things started to turn. He dropped to sixth in week 6. Then to ninth in Week 7. He bounced back to the seventh spot in Week 8. And in Week 9 he has found himself tetering on the edge, dropping all the way to the 14th spot. And he’s still averaging 21.6 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. But it looks like he’s gonna need those 25 points a game he was putting up last year if he’s gonna stay relevant in any Larry Bird Fantasy Basketball League.LeBron is still maintaining the top spot, barely. Dwyane Wade and Dirk Nowitzki are still remaining relevant. The big story this week is Kobe who rose up from eighth in Week 7 to fifth in Week 7 and is now in fourth and sitting only a single point behind Dirk. In fact, From the top spot down to Chris Bosh in the fifth spot, only 149 points separate the top five players. And only 9 points separate spots three through five. It’s still a very, very tight race.
Dwight Howard has plummeted almost like Amare, to the 10th spot. Vinsanity, Vince Carter, is back for an encore performance and has moved up to th eleventh spot. Brandon Roy, Al Jefferson and Chris Paul are making themselves at home in the middle of the rankings. Joe Johnson refuses to go away, but did slip a bit to the 12th spot.
Rounding out the Rankings, Yao Ming has returned and sits in the 13th spot. And Kevin Durant, once again, has somehow done just enough to stay relevant and claim the #15 spot.
