The Basketball Jesus Rankings: Week 4

The Golden State Warrior tandem that has been shocking the Larry Bird Fantasy Basketball world is holding on, but they’re fading fast too. It’s going to take a monumental effort for Stephen Jackson (11) and Andris Biedrins (13) to hold off the likes of Al Jefferson, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony and newcomer, Derrick Rose.

Joining Jackson and Biedrins in the bottom of the rankings is half-man half-amazing, Vince Carter (15), Carlos Boozer (14), who will surely drop out of the rankings next week with his quadriceps injury, and a player we expect to see consistently in the rankings, Brandon Roy (12).

On the other end of the list, Dwyane Wade (2) is narrowing the gap that LeBron James (1) had on the rest of the league and has cut it to a measly 27. Chris Bosh (3) is making his bid to contend for the top spot as he’s built a 49-point lead ahead of Dwight Howard (4) in the number four spot.

The middle of the rankings is littered with just who we’d expect, Dirk Nowitzki, Amare Stoudemire, Chris Paul, Paul Pierce, Joe Johnson and The Big Fundamental, Tim Duncan. Joe Johnson continues to prove me wrong as his deadly shooting continues to be enough to keep him in the rankings. I’m a little surprised that Chris Paul isn’t higher than the seven spot, but considering who sits in front of him and keeping in mind that assists get no love here, I guess it makes sense.

Will next week be the week that Jacko and Biedrins make their exit from the rankings, and will Jamal Crawford give them a little nudge by stealing some run and shots? Only time will tell.
