The Drubbing Fantasy Basketball Match-up of the Week

Here at The Drubbing, we are engaged in many sports related activities.  One of our favorites is fantasy sports.  Currently, four of the contributors are in a Fantasy basketball league and two of them just happen to be playing each other this week.  I am going to run down a preview of the match-up between Nate and myself and give a prediction of who will win.  Nate will in turn write a recap and a forecast halfway through the week, then the winner will get a chance to have the last say.

Enough with the formalities, the 10 categories are: FG made, FG%, FT%, 3pts made, Points, Reb, Ast, Stl, Blk, and TO.

Nate’s No. Hampton Jaguars

(14-6)

Guards – Mike Bibby, Beno Udrih, Mike Miller, Marquis Daniels, Peja Stojakovic

Fowards – Carmello Anthony, Luol Deng, Amare Stoudemire, Carlos Boozer, Charlie Villanueva

Centers – LaMarcus Aldridge, Mehmett Okur

Ryan’s FredHowsMyAssTaste?

(9-10-1)

Guards -Jose Calderon, Rudy Fernandez, Michael Redd, Derrick Rose, Rip Hamilton, Brandon Roy, Jamal Crawford

Fowards -Corey Maggette, Michael Beasley,

Centers -Tim Duncan, Samuel Dalembert, Nene Hilario

Both teams have close to an equal number of games this week, depending on Redd and Maggette’s injuries and Okur’s family situation they may sway a bit though.  Right off the bat i get a bonus point for the name of my team.  Paying homage to both Shaq and the annoying winner of last year’s League.

  1. FG made – Me
  2. FG% – Nate
  3. FT% – Tie
  4. 3pt – Me
  5. Pts – Me
  6. Reb – Nate
  7. Ast – Me
  8. Stl – Tie
  9. Blk – Tie
  10. TO – Nate

That gives Me a 4-3-3 win, since very rarely we have that many ties i am going to go out on the Limb and call it a 6-4 win by FredHowsMyAssTaste? in a very close match-up of two future playoff contenders.  While my team scores in bunches and fires 3pts, they do not rebound or block many shots which is where Nate will get some easy category wins.

Check back in later in the week for Nate’s recap on where we stand.

The only thing separating our teams is the fact that mine is better.
